It is the responsibility of the potential renter and strongly recommended to ascertain the validity of each property. Obtain terms and conditions in writing. Rates are subject to change without notice. We highly recommend renters conduct their own research regarding any and all property listings on LakeRentals.com including, but not limited to:

Obtain references from past renters.
Visual inspection by requesting additional photos from the owner/manager.
Request a copy of all advertisers’ policies.
Insist on a property lease/rental agreement.
Request the street address of the property rented and look it up on one of the internet based map sites, such as Google or Yahoo Maps.
Ask the owner where else the property is listed on the Internet.
Always speak to the owner by phone before sending any money.
If paying by Check or Money Order, take additional precautions. PayPal is generally a good way to go. Wire transfers are not.

Owners are responsible for the accuracy of the information on their web pages. LakeRentals.com is not responsible for renters of property. It is the responsibility of the owner and strongly advised to validate the qualifications of the potential renters. Specify terms and conditions in writing.

Inquiries

Site visitors may send inquiries to our property owners/advertisers via clickable links on LakeRentals.com listings. If you choose to send an inquiry through these links, your personal information, including your email address and any other information you supply, will be visible to the owner of the property you inquired about so that they might reply directly to you. Do not share information in the email that you are not prepared to allow them to have, including, but not limited to, credit card and bank account information. These inquiries are sent to both the individual owner/advertiser you selected and retained by LakeRentals.com. The resulting inquiry is available for review only by the owner/advertiser to whom they were initially addressed and to LakeRentals.com customer service employees, who may be asked by advertisers for their past inquiry information.

Payments

Payments for general and featured listings on LakeRentals.com may be made through check or through our secure online payment system (credit card / money order). LakeRentals.com will not share personal or financial information with any outside parties. Refunds are available in full for all payments made to LakeRentals.com within 30 days if the lister can show that their information was not presented as agreed upon on the website.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LakeRentals.com from any claim, action, demand, loss or damages (including attorneys' fees) made or incurred by any third party arising out of or relating to your conduct, your violation of these terms and conditions, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Termination

Notwithstanding, any of the terms and conditions here within, LakeRentals.com reserves the right to terminate your license to use this site without notice and in its sole discretion may block or prevent your future access to and use of this site.

Severability

If any provision of these terms and conditions shall be deemed unlawful, voided or for any reason unenforceable, then the provision shall be deemed severable from these terms and conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

Cancellation and Refund

Rental listings with LakeRentals.com can be canceled at anytime. Upon the day of notification, LakeRentals.com service will be canceled within two weeks of the day of notification. If your listing is not displayed according to your specifications, a full refund may be obtained within 30 days of receipt of payment, provided the customer can show that LakeRentals.com neglected their concerns regarding the listing.

Changes to Site

LakeRentals.com may make improvements or changes in the information, services, products and other materials on this site, or terminate this site, at any time without notice. LakeRentals.com may modify this agreement at any time, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting of the modified agreement. Accordingly, you agree to review the agreement periodically, and your continued access or use of this site shall be deemed by your acceptance of the modified agreement.
