Badin Lake is located in the Uwharrie National Forest in north-central North Carolina. The 5,350 acre lake is the largest body of water in the forest. Visitors to Badin Lake enjoy swimming, boating, waterskiing, sailing, and fishing. The best catches in the lake are catfish, bream, and a variety of bass. There is also hunting in the area for deer, turkey, small game, and waterfowl. The forest features trails for every method of exploring the woods. There are hiking trails, bike trails, off-road vehicle trails, and horse trails. After a long day exploring the forest and cruising around on Badin Lake you can enjoy a meal at one of the many picnic sites. |
