Known fully as Northstar-at-Tahoe, this is a four-season destination resort located between North Lake Tahoe and the historic town of Truckee. Northstar is consistently rated as one of the top western ski resorts, not only for skiing but also for its family programs, kid-friendly winter getaway program, and customer service. There are 63 downhill runs covering 2,420 acres of terrain and 2,200 feet of vertical drop. Extensive snowmaking facilities ensure outstanding snow conditions. You'll enjoy a sophisticated network of lifts that quickly take you to several locations on the mountain. Snowboarders enjoy half-pipes, berms, and jumps as well as having access to the entire mountain. Cross-country skiers enjoy 65 kilometers of groomed trails, offering track, skating and telemark options. In the summer the ski runs become mountain bike trails. You'll be carried to the top of the mountain on the interconnecting lifts. Summer activities include tennis, 18-hole golf course, horseback riding, climbing wall, ropes course, and fly-fishing.
