Lake Tillery is the located near the center of North Carolina in Stanly and Montgomery County about one hour east of Chalotte. Lake Tillery is a reservoir between Badin Lake and Blewitt Falls Lake and has Morrow Mountain State Park on the west and Uwharrie National Forest to the east. Norwood, NC is know as the "Gateway to Lake Tillery". There are 5 public boat access locations around lake Tillery: Norwood Access Area, Stony Mountain Access Area, Swift Island Access Area, Lilly's Bridge Access Area, and Morrow Mountain State Park.
