Lake Michigan is not only the largest freshwater lake in the US, but is also the fifth largest lake in the world, automatically qualifying it as a tourist destination. And the state of Michigan is home to dozens of beachtowns that offer a wide variety of activities to keep you (and your family) busy for the duration of your vacation.
