Eagle River Information

The Eagle River area in Northern Wisconsin is surrounded by the Eagle River Chain of Lakes, the world’s largest inland freshwater lakes. The 28 bodies of water cover a total of 3,928 surface acres. The lakes are a great spot for swimming, boating, water sports, and fishing. The best catches in the lake tend to be musky and walleye. There are 9 boat launches along the lake shores and 6 public parks. The nearby Nicolet National Forest covers over 650,000 acres and has 1,200 lakes. The Forest is a great spot for hunting, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. Other nearby attractions include golf courses, paintball facilities, and the Northwoods Children’s Museum.
