 | | At 40 miles in length, Cayuga Lake is the longest of the eleven Finger Lakes of western New York, an area known for its many wineries. Boating on Cayuga Lake is very popular, but if you don't feel like manning the ship, you can go for a lake cruise. The lake is also host to the annual Cayuga Lake Triathlon. For the visiting angler, there is a plethora of northern pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, carp, lake trout, and landlocked salmon. The lake is also excellent for swimming, but if you feel like going a bit deeper under the surface, scuba diving is an option too! Cayuga Lake and its surrounding areas are also popular for canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and golfing.
