Awesome time in Upper Village A guest from Sante Fe, NM recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in January, 2012 Wildwood was essentially a ski in, ski out location. Not fancy but clean and mostly quiet except for the 20-something Aussie's singing in the hall in the wee morning hours. Easy walk to the village Marketplace for food. Great door to door service for affordable transportation from the airport on Pacific Coach. Staff was nice, but not always helpful. Can't wait to go back! Wildwood Lodge Stay A guest from Berkeley, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2011 The Wildwood Lodge was not what we expected from viewing photos on the web site. The room suite was generally in run down condition. Visitors should also be aware that services at this lodge are very limited. There is no cleaning service. You are responsible for removing your own trash, clean towels are not delivered, etc. The only person on duty to help with questions or needs is at the front desk from 8a-8pm. The location however was great with easy ski in to Blackcomb lifts and short walk to Upper Village and Whistler Village. Although we felt that the Wildwood facilities were a reasonable value for our money, two things took away from the pleasure of our stay here.The hidabed in this unit was atrocious to sleep on. You literally could feel every spring poking through. And secondly, there seemed to be a lack of onsite supervision or control during the night. There was a party element on both the Friday and Saturday nights that carried on well into the morning with the obvious impact on sleep quality. Property Manager Response: Response from Peak to Green Accommodations Inc. A new sofabed is on order for the guest's next stay. The lodge is too small to afford on site security during the night, however, a security company is available. Since the guest's stay, measures are being made to have stickers on every door with the contact information for the security company handy. A simple phone call to the security company will take care of those late night partiers. Also remember that it was Crankworx week which draws a certain party element. The Wildwood does not particularly cater to that crowd and if we knew who they were, they would be Black Listed from further stays at the Lodge. Thank you for your feedback.
