Come see a lake that is environmentally conscious, has 1200 acres of space, and is adjacent and navigable to another lake, and also a river that in total provides 3000 acres of fishing. It is residential in that it has approximately 200 homes on it. The people of Harrison are forward looking -- they have been planning and doing conservation work since the 1960's: namely, a 10 mph speed limit, (so no water-skiing or speed boats), 200 ft. lake lots so it still feels wild, and wilderness islands (state owned and no development other than a grill and picnic table) for picnicking and exploring (no camping allowed). |
