Lake Kegonsa

Lake Kegonsa, nicknamed the "lake of many fishes," covers 3,209 acres in southern Wisconsin. Visitors to Lake Kegonsa enjoy swimming, fishing, skiing, and motor boating. The best fish to hook in the lake are pan fish, walleye, and northern pike. Lake Kegonsa State Park offers hiking trails, camping, a beach, a pet swim area, and a boat launch. There are also picnic areas open to all and shelters that can be reserved for private gatherings. Those in the mood for a bit of competition can organize a volleyball game on the sand court or hold their own horseshoes tournament at the horseshoe pit. The kids can have their fun at the two on-site playgrounds. Visitors to the park pay a small fee for entrance.
