Eagle River

The Eagle River area in Northern Wisconsin is surrounded by the Eagle River Chain of Lakes, the world's largest inland freshwater lakes. The 28 bodies of water cover a total of 3,928 surface acres. The lakes are a great spot for swimming, boating, water sports, and fishing. The best catches in the lake tend to be musky and walleye. There are 9 boat launches along the lake shores and 6 public parks. The nearby Nicolet National Forest covers over 650,000 acres and has 1,200 lakes. The Forest is a great spot for hunting, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. Other nearby attractions include golf courses, paintball facilities, and the Northwoods Children's Museum.
