Lake Ray Hubbard is named for the man who formerly ran the Dallas Parks and Recreation Board. The 22,745 surface acres of the lake offer plenty of room for a variety of recreational activities. The best fishing in Lake Ray Hubbard is for bass, catfish, and crappie. There are many lakeside parks as well as picnic areas along the shore. A number of public access boat launches and private marinas make it easy to get your boat on the water.
