Cedar Creek Lake is located approximately one hour southeast of Dallas. The 32,623 acre lake is great for boating, jet skiing, and fishing. There are good populations of a variety of bass and catfish, as well as crappie in the lake. Tom Finley Park is a day use waterfront park that is ideal for picnicking and swimming. During the holiday season it turns into "Christmas Island", a stunning lights display.

Cedar Creek Lake is 15 miles west of Athens and about an hour southeast of Dallas.
