Reelfoot Lake

At 20 miles long, Reelfoot Lake is the largest natural lake in Tennessee. Located in the northwest portion of the state, Reelfoot Lake is basically a flooded forest. As a result of this characteristic, motor boaters need to use caution in navigating the stumps and no skiing or jet-skiing is allowed. Many visitors enjoy canoeing or using a Jon boat. Reelfoot Lake is renowned for its duck hunting as well as fishing for species including bass, crappie, catfish, and blue gill. For the birdwatcher in your family, the area is also known for its large population of bald eagles. Reelfoot Lake State Park has many picnicking areas, including large and small shelters. Connected to the park's visitor center is a meeting center that can hold up to 400 people. The park is also host to 3 hiking trails and a car route that circles the lake and showcases the lake's finest scenery.

Reelfoot Lake is in Tiptonville, which is in Lake County.
