Boone Lake, named for frontiersman Daniel Boone, is located in northeastern Tennessee. The 4,300 acre lake offers visitors 130 miles of shoreline. Individuals visiting Boone Lake enjoy boating, various water sports, camping, and swimming. For those who plan on fishing, Boone Lake is filled with a variety of bass, bluegill, and crappie. For a day of fun in the sun, many area marinas offer boat and jet-ski rentals. Golfers looking for a lake rental will be happy to know that the Tri Cities Golf Course, which is just about 10 minutes from the lake, was rated #2 in the country for availability for tee-time, good weather, and price.

Boone Lake is in Northeast Tennessee, by the towns of Kingsport, Johnson City, and Bristol. The nearby Bristol Motor Speedway is home to some of the biggest races in Nascar in March and August.
