One of ten original state parks, Forest Lake State Park was created in 1935. With a 200 foot beach and almost 400 acres of land, the park offers individuals and families activities such as biking, fishing, boating, swimming and mountain-biking. The park provides amenities such as restrooms, playgrounds for kids and picnic tables for those large (or small) BBQ gatherings. Forest Lake is also home to the Forest Lake Camping Ground. While camping, one has easy access to many of the attractions mentioned above. If you strictly want to camp, the grounds have 2 restrooms with full facilities, picnic tables, and fireplaces. Not to mention the 150 large, wooded and open tent and trailer sites available for use.
