Pyramid Lake is fed by the Truckee River which enters the lake from its southern end. This large 29.8 mile long and 8.7 mile wide lake has about 10% of the area of the Great Salt Lake, but its greater depth gives it about about 25% more volume. The salinity is approximately 1/6th that of sea water.
