Peaceful Whitefish Lake covers 3,315 acres in northwest Montana. The lake is great for boating, waterskiing, swimming, and fishing. Species of fish in the lake include the ever popular westslope cutthroat trout, a variety of other trout, and northern pike. Whitefish Lake State Park has a beach, picnic areas, and biking trails. Whitefish lake is at the base of Big Mountain and the popular Whitefish Mountain Resort boasting more than 3,000 acres of skiing.
