At 17,000 acres, Lake Charlevoix is the third largest lake in Michigan. It is a great destination for boating, sailing, skiing, and fishing. Just a few of the 14 species in the lake are black crappie, bluegill, walleye, and yellow perch. Young State Park has a boat launch, sandy beach, picnic areas, and nature trails. In the winter, many visitors choose to go cross-country skiing.
