Fife Lake, in Grand Traverse County, boasts of its Big 4th of July Celebration featuring lots of barbequing, playing on the beach, and a fireworks display. Boating and Jet skiing are allowed on the lake from 11 AM – 7:30 PM, leaving the other hours for peaceful waters for the fisherman. Hunting in the area is good for white-tail deer, pheasant, grouse, and wild turkey. During the wintertime visitors to Fife Lake make use of the many trails for snowmobiling.
