Twin Lakes is located in Kootenai County in Northwest Idaho. Twin lakes is known for its gorgeous mountain setting and offers a huge variety of vacation activities for outdoor enthusiasts. Twin Lakes is locate within a few miles of Coeur d'Alene National Forest and close driving distance to Spokane Washington (35 miles to the southwest) and Coeu d'Alene Idaho (21 miles to the southeast). Twin lakes consists of two bodies of water known as the upper and lower lakes which are connected by a narrow 10 feet channel. The covers 350 acres and has a maximum depth of 60 feet. The lower lake is slightly smaller and deeper compared to the upper lake, which covers 500 acres with a maximum depth of 20 feet.
