Located outside Hot Springs, Lake Ouachita is the largest lake in Arkansas, with 975 miles of shoreline and an area of 40,000 acres. Pronounced WAH-shi-tah, the lake is completely surrounded by the Ouachita National Forest, which contains a number of campsites as well hiking, biking and horseback riding trails.
