However, the furniture and bedding looked unpleasant and unclean, especially the carpet and rugs. The cabin has great potential because it is beautiful and cozy. Nice summer vacation! A guest from Orinda, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2012 Nice deck. Good location. Functional kitchen. Good price. Walkable to main street where the estaurants and peewee golf are. A little small for a family with teenagers. Comfy couch. House needs air conditioning, though, or at least a little portable one. The week we stayed was hot (90's) which we heard was uncharacteristically warm. Lake priveledges were fabulous, though. Easy drive to nearby grocery market. Overall, a pleasant stay. vert dirty cabin A guest from Novato, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2010 we had a real great time at twain harte but i was disappointed in the cabin. the carpets are very very dirty, the barbacue was not cleaned, many light, cd player etc. did not work, the deck was not swept, the table and chairs on the deck were full of pollen and it took us a good hour to clean things up. if we didn't love twain harte so much, our visit would not have been good. i am surprised you rent this cabin. oh and one more thing.. as you open the cabinets in the kitchen the pots all fall out on the floor because they were just "shoved" in in no orderly manner. In looking at the pictures the impression is that the nice looking kitchen is carried throughout... Game room is nice and the wireless was excellent to have. Good heat and excellent location. TV could be larger and would be appreciated. Kitchen is OK and does the job, but there is a lingering gas odor.Proximity to town is absolutely great.
