The location of this property can't be beat. It is a very short walk to the restaurants in Teton Village, in a secluded culdesac, and next to Moose-Wilson road where we saw spectacular wildlife on our daily drive to/from activities. The rooms and layout were great too. The kids loved having their own space on the lower floor. Unfortunately, the A/C in the master bedroom only worked the first night and there is no A/C on the main floor which needs it most in the summer (80 degrees on that floor in the afternoon and evenings with windows open). The bedsheets and towels provided were clean, but the kitchen was a disaster. The pots and pans were crusty and greasy with old food caked on them, the cabinets with food/spices left for sharing were disorganized with crumbs all over the place, the drawers and cabinets with kitchen tools and accessories were completely disorganized with measuring spoons scattered across 4 different drawers. On top of that, the only sponge around was a dirty sponge with dried bits of food all over it. Needless to say, we had to go out and buy sponges and soap to clean everything before using them. One of the window treatments was also broken and missing in the dining room so there was a lot of morning glare during breakfast. Would like to recommend this place but only after they get a better housekeeping team between stays who will thoroughly clean the kitchen and replenish supplies like laundry detergent and handsoap for the bathrooms. The lack of cleanliness and supplies for daily use of the home is disappointing and below standard for a luxury vacation rental.

This home was the perfect size for our party of eight! We loved how close this house was to Teton Village and to Grand Teton National Park. Hikes and mountain biking was very accessible. The house had a few maintenance issues about which I spoke to the head of Kabino maintenance. The group felt that the house should be in impeccable shape before renters arrive not after they leave.

We had a wonderful time at Bearclaw. House is spacious and well appointed. Convenient to Teton village (walk). Also easy to get to Jackson and Teton National Park. Highly recommend as a spot for 2 families...

Disappointed-Not Luxury-No AC-non working remotes-needs upgrades

Two years ago in the month of September we booked Bear Claw for the same amount of days at a lesser rate. Our family had an awesome stay. The AC worked in the entire house and so did all cable/TVWe wanted to repeat the experience. We arrived Thursday no AC Anywhere - No cable or any TV in master-One lightbulb of eight worked in In master bathroom Had to use the toilet in the dark.Also no hot tub light so we used that in the dark too.And this is a $4000.00 3 -Day vacation rental ?!Day two of our stay Justin took care of what was possible- the lightbulbs (still no AC or cable TV in the master)The second day he brought his personal PlayStation and hooked up Netflix so we could watch something in the master ( can't fall asleep unless watching TV)We were still uncomfortably hot and frustrated.I requested by email and voice mail at least a phone call ,plus some sort of monetary compensation for the inconvenience. It's not like we are rich -I'm a school teacher and this sort of family get together is a real sacrifice. We have not heard from anyone.The day we left my son noticed bedbug bites all over his legs.Also , before we came,I called to ask if we could have an early check in due to my granddaughter's nap time- I never heard back until I got their generic email .The check in is 4pm and check out is 10am they are inflexible about this!Compared to other places and hotels guests are being deprived of an extra hour both ways.The last day I did try to voice my disappointment /complaints to Jasmine at the main office but we were cut off. I called again and after a long hold time , Adam got on the phone (who I thought was a reservation agent) I did not want to repeat myself and insisted to talk to Jasmine which must have unintentionally insulted him-Adam then informed me he was the owner told me to have a nice day,and hung up on me. I called back , left a voicemail, nobo

Thanks for you feedback. Unfortunately, the cable company had an issue during this guests stay which is now resolved. Also, the AC which is intended for the Master bedroom has been recharged with freon as of today. 99% of homes in Jackson Hole do not have AC because of the clean, cool and crisp mountain air. It was the first incident that we'd seen, with a master bedroom AC, and it was remedied immediately. We're sorry to see your long list of complaints in an effort to produce a refund. This guest literally wrote an email to our company stating that if we didn't pay her for the outage on the AC and TV, then she would leave a bad review. Although our company and head of maintenance were on both issues including the light bulbs right away, the guest decided to threaten and use blackmail instead. Extortion or see a nasty review was the last contact the guest made with us. This is such a great property and all of these small issues have been put to rest!

Bear Claw - Beautiful but a few small hiccups

First off the place was beautiful and was very clean. The little extras like the sonos sound system and the bar ice maker were a nice little bonuses. Our only few issues were that it was quite hot during our stay and the home got very muggy and warm during the day. This place does have an AC unit but it did not work. I called and they said the A/C would be repaired (but they did not come). In the meantime, close the shades during the day (which helped) and that the place would cool off over night. I am sure during most of the year this would not be an issue, but for us with 6 kids, the house did not cool down until 10-11pm or so. Needless to say we had some tired & cranky kids due to the temps. Secondly, the hot tub didn't get above 92 degrees... it was like a chilly tub at best. We wanted to relax with a glass of water wine after the kids went to bed and all we could do is put our feet in the tub... boo. Overall I would give this place an 8 out of 10 - the problems we had were minor and the place was amazing.

Thanks for your feedback! We are glad you guys had a great stay. Its been very hot in the area, and the Master bedroom AC was overwhelmed. Our maintenance techs checked the AC while you were out for the day, and it was recharged, but the line failed shortly thereafter again. We've chased the AC problem to the root cause and have made the necessary repair! However, with temps now in the 30s at night, there hasn't been much need to use it now. This is the first we've heard about the hot tub scenario, and so we'll send staff back to remedy this immediately. Thanks again for the feedback.

We loved the look of the house and the size also was just perfect. The only down side would be no air conditioning and it was very warm until late at night.The master was supposed to have air but it did not run even after a maintenance call.

I arrived after a long 6 hr flight with 12 others only to find the towels in the washer and dryer, so much for taking a well needed shower. The home itself is gorgeous but the housekeeping is very very poor to say the least. I had the masterbed room with fireplace, a beautiful view of my neighbor daily since the management company decided to hang a 10.00 curtain with a paper clip verse replacing the matching high blinds in the room ( very very very POOR) . I did take that shower in a stall that the buttons for the steam were on the ground, and the fan did not work in any of the bathrooms. Dinnertime was spent scrubbing pots and pans that still had egg in them , this is the truth. The oven and stove top were filthy with grease and splattered all over , again we cleaned. The stero system worked only in a few rooms. the curtain on the fireplace did not close, the telescpoe did not work at all , not sure why its there. The deck ( it was 60 one day ) was unuseable because the snow melting caused water to pour off the roof. The best part was upon arrival there were beer cans in and around the jacuzzi,left by proir people so Isent an email and 2 days later someone came onto the property unannounced scared my daughter ( who was home alone ) to death by creeping around the jacuzzi , took all her soda and beer and then proceeded to walk into the garage! I called and complained and got no where. I would like my cleaning deposit refunded. I have rented million dollar home all over the world for the last 20 years and this was the worst one. I paid 1278 a night and the lack of attention to the cleanliness was so wrong . believe me I am not one to knit pick but this was unexceptable on every level.

My book club friends and I were most delighted with our outstanding accommodations at the Bear Claw Lodge in Teton Village. We loved the tall ceilings and beams, the kitchen, dining room and deck. The location was ideal nestled into the hillside. We saw a fox and a deer right outside our windows.

One guest bedroom of the house was altered from the photos we saw on the internet as a basis for makingour commitment. From a very nice lookingroom for two, it was transformed by Peak Property Investments, or the owner, into a bunkhouse style room to sleep seven. Not onlydid this action violate the Teton Resort limit onrental occupancy, it rendered our contract wemade with Peal Property Investments brokenthrough fraudulent misrepresentation. We were not able to use the room as intended for ourguests because of its shabby appearance andinappropriateness to accommodate persons over sixty years of age. When asked if he would restore the room tothe original condition in the photographs wehad seen, the Manager, "Dave", said he could do nothing, but he offered us a different houseto stay in, which was inappropriate. We were victimized by this company becausewe did not receive the full value of the property agreed upon for the price we agreed toin our contract, and changes were made to theproperty without our knowledge or consent aftersigning.

The house was in a great location near Teton village. We saw wild life right near the house. And the master bathroom was amazing with its heated floors. But, the house was not cleaned well. The table on the deck was filthy and there were cobwebs near the patio sliding doors. Also the TV in the family room was not working. It did get fixed the next day but at the expense of another TV working, since a part had to be taken from it. Although we would stay in this location again, I wouldn't stay in this particular house.

We needed a place to house a family reunion for 6 adults and two children. We also needed to location to have convenient access for food shopping and family activities. The Bear Claw was perfect. Spacious living room and deck for family events. Well appointed kitchen and barbecue for meal preparation. Three dpacious and comfortable bedrooms with their own bathrooms. Easy access to Jackson, Teton Village, and GrandcTeton National Park, with beautiful scenery.

Overall the place was wonderful. There were some things in management that could have been improved but minimal. The hot tub needed addressed but was only fixed after a 3rd call. Several exterior and interior lights needed replaced. bar chairs were weak or broken in some places. Heat on main room seemed either to not work or slow to cool down. Again all of these were minor compared to the beautiful place. Seems more of a management issue. Overall had a wonderful time.

House is in great shape. Luxury accommodations. Plenty of room for everyone including young children. Great view of sleeping indian from dining room. Enjoyed view of rendezvous fireworks from master bed. Property manager took care of minor issues right away and were very attentive. The walk to base/lifts is about 10 minutes. Easily done with board in hand and 3 year old in tow. If you have family member who is nice enough to shuttle you to drop off zone it is only 2 min drive. 20 min drive to town of Jackson for shopping and more restaurants. I highly recommend.

Christmas at Bear Claw

Unit is beautiful with plenty of space to accommodate our family of 7. We cooked - plenty of upscale cooking equipment - and walked into Teton Village for dinner. The walk into the Village and to the gondola from this unit is a hilly ¾ of a mile. Not at all problem for dinner, but way too far in ski boots with ski equipment. This is definitely NOT ski in/ski out and it is not walkable in ski boots while carrying equipment (there is no ski storage at the mountain). So be prepared to rent a car and drive the ¾ of a mile and pay a fortune to park daily at the mountain, or make pre-arrangements with a car service for both morning and afternoon pickup if you intend to ski. Other than that, the unit is very, very nice and would be perfect if you do not intend to ski.

This property is "Perfect" for skiing despite not being ski-in ski-out. This property is not advertised as ski-in ski-out, but it is a very convenient walk to the mountain. In our opinion, a 1/4 mile walk or less depending on where you access the mountain is ideal. Its literally as close as you can get to the mountain, without being on the mountain. Most people walk from the parking lots which are much further and well beyond our location. For the price this property, its worth the 5 minute walk to the tram! There is also a shuttle service that is located directly downhill from the home that the renter must have not seen.

The house was beautiful, well furnished and in an ideal location within Teton Village. It was well laid out and accommodated our group very well. We all had space to enjoy, gather and relax. There were several things that need attention within the home. We were very surprised a home of this caliber was not in better shape upon our arrival. The home was not entirely clean. We found Qtip, dental floss and candy wrappers behind the master bedroom headboard while plugging in our phone chargers. This made us wonder wag else wasn't clean. There was a layer of dust in the kitchen on the range hood and it appeared to have been quite a long time since it had been properly cleaned. The dishwasher fell forward each time you opened it and trying to load it was futile unless you had someone hold it in place while you loaded dishes. It is not attached to the cabinet and desperately needs to be secured so guests don't have to do what we did to wash dishes. The kitchen although lovely is not well equipped. We struggled to find the things we needed to make a full thanksgiving dinner and when we did find the kitchen tools we needed they were very dirty so we had to wash everything before using it. We had to mak several trips to the store to buy things such as dish soap which should be supplied with the house. This all became very frustrating. It would be very helpful to have a notebook available so renters know how to use the home systems such as furnace and bathroom fans. Neither seemed to work during our stay. We struggled to get the house to warm up despite setting the thermostat at 68. The bathroom fans did not appear to work at all. Some type of information would be helpful to ensure proper function. The wifi was not great but, sufficient. We enjoyed our stay but, were extremely disappointed to spend a great deal of money for a home that was in less than ideal condition.
