Stayed for 4 days in April, 2012 Elks Ridge Lodge is a nicely appointed 4 bedroom log cabin with a spectaular view of the Great Smokey Mountains. The hot tube on the deck invites you to sit, realx, and let the rest of the world go on without you. All rooms have king beds. Tip-top of the mountain. A guest from Kingsport, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2011 The cabin was beautiful and very clean, but the road up to the cabin was scary. Had I known how narrow and steep the drive was I would not have rented this cabin. Once we finally arrived at the very top of the mountain, the view was spectacular. And the cabin was very private and quiet. If I were not afraid of heights, I probably would have loved it. It was repaired but did not cool until 2 AM. Porch dirty from food near trash container. Wasp was around the hot tub above light at back door. Children was stung. Light out of refrigerator. Cob webs around front door. Will not stay at this cabin again. Repeat guest for several years. Will see next year if I will continue to use Mountain Rentals. Up in the mountain A guest from Mason, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2011 The lodge was very clean and cozy. Only issue we had was that the hot water had a brown color and so kids could not use the inside jacuzzi. Guess it must be the rust as the house was not in use in the winter. Management was prompt and curteous and check in and out was easy. The gas grill's propane tank was low they took care of that in a few hours . Our own problem was that the last .5 mile was a steep hill and I was not comfortable navigating it especially in the night. I wish there would have been instructions for the hot tub. None of us owned one or a pool. Lots of amenities (jacuzzi, pool table, fire place, kitchen supplies) was really nice. Upstairs Toilet clogged frequently and we could not locate a plunger; grill did not work from day one and none of us could fix it; washing machine or dryer left large brown stains on several pieces of our white clothing which we can not get out, even after trying to bleach them. Microwave plate was cracked, so we didn't use it either. Overall the plave was cozy, roomy and perfect for what we were looking for. Property Management was very helpful. Thanks so much. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2009 We really enjoyed the location of the cabin, and the view it offered. The downstairs bedrooms were very dimly lit. One of the two rocking chairs was broken, and the other was very uncomfortable. We found several creepy, crawly creatures, including a scorpion IN the house. There were 6 adults, and there was not enough room for us all to sit & watch TV. The cabin was not nearly as clean as it should have been. However, I pulled out a spatula with egg all over it, the eye of the stove was not clean under the metal, the bathtub needs some clorox to get the sticky out, and behind the love seat was obvious neglect!
