The cabin was in excellent condition and the staff was helpful and friendly. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. There was a small issue with yellow jackets in one of the bedrooms, however, insects are expected to try and get inside of residences this time of year. After we called the staff they had a maintenance person there immediately to handle the situation. I strongly recommend this company and cabin. Best Friends connecting in the Smokies! Mary R. from Thompsons Station, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2011 My very best friends and I had not been able to get together for four years and we planned this week as a wonderful reunion and a time of reconnecting and reflecting. This cabin is very conducive to this type of visit. Quiet and yet with all the comforts of home and some extra things at that. Hot tub on the deck was used every day and oh how relaxing. Also, the pool table reminded us that we don't have that skill!! Loved being able to cook our own food and just relax in the cabin. Staying at Bear Extraordinaire was exactly what we all needed! Our only difficulty was location, definitely beautiful but difficult if you have a motorcycle. :( Fortunately, the resort office was kind enough to accommodate our needs, allowing us to leave our bikes and trailer next to the office. The only negative is that there were no closets or hanging space for your clothes. The dishwasher needs to be attached to the countertops. The door would fall open even if nobody is around. Loved it all for the most part but not the hot tub and there were bugs on the floor of the king sized bedroom! We will come back again but probably not that cabin... Other than that it was a very memorable experience, everyone was friendly and helpful. I would have been satisfied to just stay in the cabin but that was not the wishes of the rest of our party.
