The drive to the cabin was a little scary because of the very curvy roads. The cabin was decorated very nice. There was a horrible smell outside the bedroom on the second level. The next day the smell was even worse. Looked around but couldn't find a mouse or any other dead animal. The heat wasn't working in the living room and kitchen area. Air blew out the entire time even though the unit was set on heat at 75 degrees. The view was gorgeous and I would definitely go back but it would be nice to have heat next time. The cabin wasn't as clean as I feel it should have been. There was dust on the furniture and in the corners on the floor. Dead flies were all over the floor. The kitchen sink was dirty too. I think they should consider hiring a new housekeeping staff or talk to them about a more detailed cleaning before guest check-in. AC not working properly Chris D. from Morrow, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2011 When we arrived the AC unit for the 2nd and 3rd floors was not working. Called maintence, which they repaired at about 10:30 that night, but the 3rd floor bedroom never cooled down all weekend, because the thermostat could not be turned down past 73 degrees. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2011 the difference between the rooms was very stark with the top one being the smallest and its AC system the weakest so it was also the hottest and had the fewest amenities and was the smallest. the other two were great and overall our stay was very good once the AC in the upstairs room got fixed. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends. However, the difference between the cabins was great, since the other cabin we rented out was older, unkempt,smaller, hotter and on the whole not as pleasant as ours so we lucked out while our friends were not so thrilled. What a view but no water or phone Steven H. from Lafayette, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2010 We loved the view. Our water was frozen and had to use the cabin below us to take showers and to use the restroom. The snow plow had came thru and cut the phone line so we had to walk down 2 cabins to use the phone. We loved the cabin and the view but couldnt enjoy it to its fullest extent but would go back again but maybe during a different time of the year. We called them 2 hrs. out, only to find out we messed up and were arriving a day before our reservations. They went above and beyond to place us in a different cabin the first night.
