Stayed for 5 days in May, 2012 Although a bit difficult to get to,(especially after dark) this location provided an excellent view of the Smokey Mountains, and the scenery was spectacular. Furnishings inside and out were tastefully presented. The place could have been cleaner, (windows, etc.,)but hey, it's a cabin. Management honored our request to switch to a 2 bedroom cabin at the last minute, at a minimal increase. Overall, we were very satisfied with everything. Wife was in shower and I had taken vehicle to gas and clean before returning home, they walked into cabin and interrupted wife, very unhappy w that and subsequent answer, if cars gone, they'll enter cabin? Also, gate code didn't work last night of stay, stood outside in cold on phone trying to get "new" code from emergency number. Seems they deactivated it after 2nd night there. We got a late start so we were having a lot of trouble finding any cabins that were available. When I called American Mountain Rentals, and they told me that they had a cabin available we were ecstatic. The woman I talked to when I reserved it was very friendly. The check in, once we got there, was easy and the staff was very helpful. We went in knowing we were early, but just thought we would see if we could go ahead and check in, but come back once it was ready. It ended up being ready before we left. The cabin was festively decorated, and perfect for the 4 of us. We loved everything about it and had a wonderful weekend. Thank you so much! We were given 2 trash bags for 4 night's. When we stopped at the Brother's Cove mgt. office to ask for 2 additional thin filmy bags, we were told they only provide a starter kit for your stay. PLEASE--for $180 per night you can't expect one cheap kitchen trash bag per day??Other than that one irritation, the cabin was wonderful, the view fantastic, and we love Brother's Cove. This cabin was clean, well equipped but small (for the price)compared to others we have stayed in. It was fine for the 2 of us but for 4-6 people, you'd be tripping over each other.There were work men with loud equipment tearing up one of the roads to our cabin (yes...we know work needs to be done)so sitting outside while they were working was unpleasant. After all we went there for peace and quiet!The view was beautiful. Waking up and looking out through the glass at the trees was heavenly. Overall it was a good experience. I am normally a sandy beach getaway kind of person and this was my first trip to the Smokey Mountains. I can honestly say I plan to return every year and stay in this exact cabin again if possible. Not only was the cabin fantastic, but the views were out of this world. Heavens View is an absolutely appropriate name for this location. The hot tub, pool table, games, deck, grill and fire pit helped make our vacation a great time. The way the cabin is set up and decorated made you feel like you were staying in someone?s home and not a rental! They provided more than enough dishes and cooking utensils to use and the dishwasher and vacuum made cleaning up a snap. The bonus of being able to bring our dog was fantastic! She absolutely loved her stay as well! This was one of the only cabins in the area that we saw a yard that she would have been able to play in.I will say that they hornet?s nests were starting to get a bit out of control and they should look into having them removed. The drive up to the cabin was a bit nerve racking but after a few trips up and down it wasn?t that bad. To anyone considering staying here you won't be disappointed! We will be back for sure!!! This was our 2nd Vacation to Brothers Cove and both stays where very relaxing. Heavens View has a gorgous view as did the 1st stay at #7 Mountain Oasis in 2005. I would like to suggest only 2 things about the cabins, #1 Matteress covers to protect your very comfy beds and #2 bigger sheets that stay on the matteress other than that our stay was great and we will be back soon.
