There was no view which was misleading in the listing and the overall cleaniness was sligjtly disappointing. The big tub had black bug and black specks all over it, we wouldnt even get in after we cleaned it. We found 2 scorpians crawling in the kitchen and on a bath towel. Here's some details you might not see in the description of the cabin:-Very clean-Private but not too secluded: only about 1/3 mile of dirt roads-Only a 4 mile drive to town-Plenty of towels. We had enough for 4 people for 2 nights, although we used the dryer to reuse a few.-Had extra blankets and pillows in closets, but not sheets-Hot tub comfortably sat 4 people-Driveway goes over a beautiful stream-Great water pressure-Needs new dishes. They were all well-used China (not microwave safe). Not ideal for a big bowl of cereal or big cup of coffee, but they did have wine and champagne glasses.-The fridge is completely empty. No condiments. No coffee. They did have coffee filters though.-No wifi. Cell service is so-so. AT&T sometimes could send/receive texts but no 3G. Verizon/Sprint (while roaming) had spotty 3G and enough signal to easily send/receives texts and calls.-Upper bedroom isn?t private from the rest of the house since it?s a loft. Lower bedroom is very private but has no windows. Great for sleeping in! The bright light from all those windows won?t wake you up.-TV?s are CRT, not very big, and only have basic cable. But who goes here to watch TV, right?-Only seating in the living room is a couch that isn?t very comfy. This place could really use a recliner.Overall, no real complaints. At check in the person who helped me just asked me if I had heard everything the other sales person said, it was the same for me. I did have her clarify somethings. At the Cabin there was a ragged mat that needs to be thrown away and the front deck looks like it has not been touched for months. The deck in back had trash. There was bulbs burned out throughout the cabin. We loved the windows but they were not clean. The first night a tech came to fix the jacuzzi and told us to wait a couple of hours for it to heat up. We waited until 11pm and it was still not hot. The next morning it seemed hot but when we got in that evening, it was lukewarm. We could not get the temperature up and there was no instructions with the jacuzzi. The kitchen was well equipped but we could not find a can opener. We thought this would be a quaint and quiet spot, Not! You could hear the traffic from the main road and at night there were squirrels or mice in the walls next to the bed that kept running back and forth. We did not talk to property managers because when we noticed things or things happened it was late at night and we were gone most of the day. We just won't come back here. However, we found things in our cabin like used soap in the bathtubs, a layer of grime on the windows, and even a used Spongebob Band-Aid in our sheets. The cabinets felt sticky like they had only ever been dusted. So the cleaning service was way below our standards. There were also little annoying things like the back door that had a disfunctional lock, the DVD player that didn't work, and the fact that none of the remotes had working batteries. Two hours upon check-in is just not enough time to report problems with cabin. Upon reporting problems at check-out, we were told that the problems would be taken care of. That's great for the next guests, but is really no compensation to us for our inconvenience. A Wonderful Stay for Our Honeymoon Wayne F. from Ashland, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2009 Bareskin Romance was a perfect cabin for my wife and I to stay in on our honeymoon. It looked just like in the pictures I saw online. Gorgeous! It's surrounded by trees, so there is not a great view from the deck, but the private seclusion is very romantic. The air conditioning was a life saver; it was very hot and humid the week we were there. We didn't try the hot tub, but we did peek inside, and it looked clean, and the water was hot. We did use the jacuzzi, and it was wonderful. The bathrooms were nice; the shower had great water pressure. We did notice that there was a mouse living behind the oven that would nibble through things left out on the counter, but we notified the office staff on checkout and they said they'll get right on it. Our food was all in the upper cabinets and wasn't disturbed. We did notice more and more bugs in our cabin as the week went on. Nothing horrible, just how things get when you're out in the middle of the woods. It seems like the cleaning crew did a great job cleaning up all the bugs before we got there. So no complaints there! I was very pleased with this cabin, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the Pigeon Forge area who wants a romantic getaway! We did not leave any doors open and actually investigated the area around the doors to see if there were any nests visible on either of the porches. My husband and I were looking for a romantic weekend get-away and this cabin fit our needs. We loved it's location and privacy and the king size log bed is beatiful. There are a couple things that the property manager may want to take care of: the large windows over the deck were extremely dirty and still had the safety tape on them; also, this cabin's entrance comes right into the master bedroom, they should probably put this info in their description of this cabin. We would definetely rent this cabin again as, otherwise, the set up is great! The master bedroom is actually in the balcony but there is a separate bedroom on the main level that could be used for our two kids when we take them. The property management staff were very busy when we ckecked in, but they still took care of everyone in a timely courteous manner.
