One little surprise Cynthia M. from Keller, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2012 Maybe it's because we are from TX and not familiar with basements but, we were a little surprised at the basement arrangement. We thought we would walk downstairs into a lovely bedroom. When you first enter the basement all you see is a washer and dryer on a concrete floor. But keep going and through a glass door is a kitchenett (not all working yet), a living area and a huge bedroom. It worked out very nicely and was roomier than the bedrooms upstairs and was very comfortable. There is lots of closet & hanging space and 2 nice sized windows so it is bright. There is only a shower (no tub) but that was not a problem for us. The property is also very convenient to highways 99 and I5 |

Great house in a great location! A guest from Oconomowoc, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2011 We stayed at this house with my daughter, son-in-law and 3 grandsons very comfortably. We were in Seatle to visit our other daughter and son-in-law who have a small apt. 1/2 mile away. We had a rental mini-van so it was very nice to have the side driveway because there are parking restrictions on the street. Access to everything was easy. There is a wonderful grocery store 2 blks away. We even found a store discount card at the house that we used. There are also many nice shops and restaurants within a block or two. Best of all we all had a confortable stay where we could cook for less than we would have spent on one hotel room! |

Lovely experience over Labor Day weekend Joanna W. from Spokane, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2011 The code-entry door made arrival and departure extremely easy. The house was very well equipped (kitchen utensils, linens, cozy living room with DVDs and cable, etc.) and comfortable for our group of seven adults. Even the fold-out bed was comfortable, although we wished it were located in the basement rather than the living room. Also, a valve on the gas grill had been left open, so it took some work to get the grill to work---but it eventually did. The location of the house is fantastic, and the house was both a great base and a really pleasant place to hang out, cook, sleep, and even do laundry before leaving to head home. |

more dishes for cooking? A guest from Oakland, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2011 Hi, Some friends and I had a WONDERFUL time at the house. You couldn't ask for a better location. The only thing missing for us was sufficient dishes for serving and making food. I think the place could benefit from a few more mixing/serving bowls and cutting boards (only one, which we all hovered around to share). Otherwise, everything was great! |

Relax and Play Frances M. from Palo Alto, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 Comfortable, bright, and well-equipped home suitable for families including children. There is more play area than any hotel suite. Top quality linens. Full set of kitchen appliances and kitchen tools. Large washer and dryer. Could add more small size bowls, and a folding? chair for extra guest at dinner. |

Pretty good. Could have been better. Jean W. from Doylestown, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2011 Several things would have made the house better: a coffee table in the LR; well-lighted mirrors on the main floor; something to hold up the windows (we used a wooden spoon and other misc. stuff). The basement bedroom was below basic... And the microwave smelled awful (but we didn't need it anyway.) The door lock didn't work one night -- still don't know why -- 3 of us tried it. Ended up climbing through a window. But in general, it is a cute house in a great location and we had a great time with our relatives. |

Property needs updating A guest from Concord, NH does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 Location is great, but house needs to be brought up to rental quality specs. Only one of the four beds was of decent quality. Internet was very slow. Most windows either are painted shut or need new springs to hold open. The housekeeper was unaware of the number in our party, so more linens and towels were needed. The rental agency manager did not seem to think that any of these things were significant, despite my bringing these times to their attention. |

a 6/8 person House? John W. from LOCKERIDGE, WILTS does not recommend this property. Stayed for 16 days in April, 2011 We were very disappointed with the accomodation in the basement. The floors were unfinished, with just a coat of paint which fid not cover the holes, splinters etc, the ceilings were too low, the pipes from the heating were exposed, lowered the ceiling even more and were noisy, the bathroom arrangement in the basement was less than perfect. As we had a small child in our party these caused even more concern than if it had been all adults. We had expected that a house for 6 would have 3 bedrooms of equal standard. We were also concerned that the door was very difficult to unlock, and a number of times it took us almost half an hour to get in, difficult especially with small children. We called the local agent who said he would send someone around to sort it out, but we were not aware this occurred and the door continued to cause problems. |

A cute house in a great location. Everything you need a block away and easy to get to the rest of Seattle. A guest from Achorage, AK recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2010 This is a cute house and is nicely furnished. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. The location is great, with all amenities along 45th just a block away. It snowed and was very cold in Seattle while we were there. It took us a few days to realize the forced air heat vents were behind furniture and closed and the hot water heater temperature was set very low. Directions for the programable thermostat would be helpful. The area rugs really need to be cleaned. We got the feeling whoever sets the house up for each new guest just programmed the front door. These things are suggestions for the owners and none would keep us from staying in this house again. We really enjoyed staying in a house for a week instead of a hotel. |

Stayed for 3 days in October, 2010 The only complaint I have is that I could not get in and out of the driveway with my large vehicle and had to park on the street. Restful stay in Seattle Janet C. from Fort Dodge, IA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2010 We had a wonderful time in Seattle, spending two nights downtown and three nights at the Wallingford bungalow. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked with basics and cooking tools, and the basement bedroom/sitting room/bath very convenient. The neighborhood has lots of funky shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance. I ate at Chutney's, an Indian restaurant in the Wallingford Center, and had the best samosas I've ever eaten, and we ate ice cream at Molly something's that was fantastic. The internet service was pretty slow. I would have liked ceiling fans to keep the air circulating. Those are the only improvements I could think of~ it's a great place to stay. Property Manager Response: Response from Sea To Sky Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and the Wallingford neighborhood. Chutney's has wonderful Indian cuisine and Molly Moon's ice-cream is a definite summer delight! They use local, organic products and create some pretty amazing flavor combinations. There are no ceiling fans in the house, but there are fans provided in each of the bedroom closets to ensure our guests can enjoy air circulation on the occasional hot summer day. And thank you for bringing the Internet speed to our attention. All of our properties are equipped with high-speed Internet, so we will investigate to ensure this is the case. Thanks again! |

staircase A guest from Iowa City, IA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2010 I want to start by thanking Anne for all her help in making this reservation for my husband and me, our two daughters, and their families while we were in Seattle. This is a lovely home in a lovely neighborhood, with lots of interesting shops and restaurants nearby. I would consider renting it again, but I do have a concern about the staircase leading down to the basement bedroom. The risers are higher than the standard and seem in fact to vary in height from one step to the next. They are therefore difficult to navigate, potentially dangerous to my two small grandchildren who stayed in the basement bedroom with their parents, but also difficult for me with 60-year-old knees. I would recommend the property to someone who knew about this concern. |

wallingford bungalow A guest from Mililani, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2010 the only area that felt 'unfinished' was of course the basement. an area rug would have helped to keep the noise down while walking across the plywood floors. however, for sleeping, it was just fine, and most of our socializing was done upstairs anyway. overall it was a very comfortable and elegant place to stay and we would highly recommend it to others. |

Great Location A guest from Coeur d Alene, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2009 As a Bungalow owner, we were delighted to be located in such a quiet neighborhood filled with charming old Bungalows. Not only was the house well-kept, cozy and comfortable the location was perfect. The close freeway access was great as it seemed we were constantly on the go. Another big plus was being able to walk to the grocery store, restaurants and stores. With six of us in the house (grandma and grandpa down to two teenagers) there was plenty of room for everyone. We have rented from Sea to Sky before and definitely will again. |

Thumbs up! A guest from Nailsworth, Gloucestershire recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in May, 2009 We arrived late at night from England and were relieved to be able to let ourselves in and immediately felt right at home. The house is well equipped, quiet and it fits in perfectly with Seattle style living. We have stayed in a lot of 4 and 5 star hotels but we felt more comfortable in this bungalow. The next time we go to Seattle this house will be our first choice. We have no complaints at all but do have a couple of suggestions for guests: The lighting is a bit dull for reading but there is a clip-on spot light in the hall cupboard. The front door does not always unlock but don?t panic, just relieve the pressure on the bolt and try it again. Finally, if you are bringing your computer, bring a long RJ45 cable (15 ft or more) so you don?t have to sit so close to the telly. |

Wallingford Vacation A guest from Zillah, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2009 The location of the vacation rental was great. Having parking was really a plus. The house was nice but a few unfinished details were evident. Although not a lot of cleaning was required having to be out by 11am and getting it all cleaned was a little challenging after being at the airport at midnight. The house was welcoming upon arrival, the yard looked good and the neighbor's flowers smelled great. There was a lot of information on how to recycle and manage everything in the house. I was worried about a white couch and white chairs but it worked out fine. The movies and popcorn were a nice bonus. |

Wonderful stay Jennifer D. from Battle Ground, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2009 Hello- My family and I had a great stay in the wallingford house. We needed to be close to the cancer center but also wanted somewhere to add a bit of fun into a stressful trip. We had a great time exploring the neighborhood and it was still within minutes to get to our appointments. We were also able to get to the seattle center easily for a trip to the children's museum. We will stay again next time we are in the area. It was easy to book online and Julie was such a help. Keep up the good work. Only thing that would be nice is having access to one more bedroom in the huge downstairs. Thanks, Jenny Daley |

Nice Place To Stay William C. from Springfield, Missouri recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2009 My family enjoyed staying in the Wallingford house. It is very much like our own circa 1920. The drive to Seattle is less than 10 minutes. The area has many nice little restaurants and the QFC grocery store has all you could need. The Woodland Zoo, Washington U, Burke Museum and Art Museum is here as well. The house is actually bigger than stated and has a big basement area that they probably will finish (also a small bathroom). Julie took the time to answer all my questions. Overall, I was very happy with our stay... |

Also just a very short drive from the zoo, Green Lake, University of Washington and 10 min. from downtown. My family had an great time exploring. Great little house in a great little neighborhood Jeffrey G. from Fulton, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2008 My wife, two small children and I spent a week in Seattle and wanted to stay in a real neighborhood that we already loved. This house was perfect. The only issues we had were that it was unusually warm while we were there and the house had no air-conditioning. Some of the windows were stuck or wouldn't stay open, but a quick trip to the hardware store across the street and $5 got us some planter stakes that did the job fine. The location can't be beat - a quick 5 minute drive into any part of the city, easy access to both I-5 and Highway 99, plenty of great restaurants and conveniences that were only blocks away. There was a great playground three blocks away that I think we visited every day. The house itself is very nice - furnishings are nice enough that you feel like you may be in your own home, yet not so nice that I was worried our kids might break something accidentally. Very simple, without a lot of clutter - by the end of the week we felt like it was our own. The washer/dryer you have to access by going outside through the basement, but again a VERY minor inconvenience. Nice neighborhood, with a nice street - the driveway was also an excellent convenience, given that street parking at night is not allowed. I would heartily recommend staying at the Heart of Wallingford bungalow. |
