This authentic adobe offers a two-bedroom, two-bath home - with an attached one-bedroom guest house. Seclusion is a friend in this special place found Santa Fe's historic Eastside, and includes a central-station security system for its tenants.

In the main house you'll find the beautifully appointed living room, with comfortable leather sofa/chairs, and a flat screen TV with cable access. It shares an open, circular floor plan in the living quarters, with a 6-person dining table, separate side table and see-through kitchen - complete with stainless steel appliances and significant counter and cabinet space. The home also offers wi-fi for your connection and search needs.

Entering the bedrooms, you'll note they each have a queen bed and private bath. There is also one king bed, which can be converted to twins, if so desired. Please note this home will allow a pet less than 40 pounds.

The guest house is attached, yet quite private with its own separate entry ? a perfect spot for a second couple or additional guests. It has its own step-down living room complete with flat screen TV, fireplace, and a separate full kitchen. The guest house's adjacent bedroom is #3.

Landscaped gardens, patio decking complete with comfortable furniture, and an upper patio area all provide great views that go on forever. This stylish and cozy adobe enjoys some of the most amazing views of the Upper Canyon Road, Santa Fe's prestigious art gallery community. Come and enjoy - the Santa Fe Way!

It was a bit far from town but we soon overcame that little issue. the house is on the mountain side where we had cool breezes flowing all the time making our June stay very pleasant. The views are wonderful, the sky at night breathtaking, the house and it's decor just lovely. It is designed so beautifully. My only two complaints would be the beds and the shower heads. My bedroom (the third) had a very old and uncomfortable bed. I dreaded going to sleep each night because I would constantly toss and turn. The shower heads were also in need of an update. Other than that our stay was very fun and we look forward to returning. The staff was also very very helpful and really nice! This added to our experience as well. If the beds were updated, our trip would have been perfect! The steep driveway was an issue as you had to take the garbage down and back up each week. Also, the beds were not as comfortable as other places we have stayed. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2011 Some general comments/suggestions - need to check entire property for light bulbs-I know this sounds picky, but some rooms were very dimly lite due to lack of bulbs and/or low wattage bulbs - difficult to be on patio or grill out due to lighting. We were not expecting the property to be quite so remote and a bit difficult to get to (up a winding rock road) - would have preferred a property w/ an easier walk to shops/restaurants. Views were super! Very quiet location with comfortable furnishings. The property mgmt company did not provide any pre-checkin instructions so I had to call the emergency # on Saturday to get checkin details for our Sunday arrival. Also, no checkout instructions were provided. On a previous stay we received both checkin/checkout details. It is well designed, wonderfully furnished and accessorized with art and a well equipped kitchen, has a convenient location in our favorite neighborhood, and is oriented to a beautiful view. We felt like pampered house guests rather than renters. We highly recommend Waking Sky. There are minor maintenance items, but overall no more than we expect with a rental property. Both the days and the house were hot and although we opened the house at night and closed it up during the day, we still needed to borrow two fans from a friend who lives in town. I would recommend having more fans available in the house or installing ceiling fans, if not a swamp cooler. It would be helpful if Kokopelli would rewrite their instruction sheet so that it more clearly provides the office address and directions to the office from points other than I-25, includes a map that shows the office location relative to nearby landmarks, and provides directions to the house. If we didn't know Santa Fe, we would have had trouble finding both. Kudos to Kokopelli's web site. It does a great job describing the houses and I found it to be extremely user-friendly. I would appreciate a little better idea of the locations of the houses - the neighborhood name or a map that at least identifies the general area. I understand the concern with providing specific addresses. Overall, a great house and a wonderful esperience. Location was very private but yet only a few minutes to the Plaza. Amenities stated (and photo showed) a window air conditioner. Finally found it in a closet. Also, amenities state that there is a ceiling fan, however, there is no ceiling fan in the house. Photos show table and umbrella on front patio--they were not there either.Kokopelli information/photos need to be updated to ensure guests have the information they need to make the best decision. I also would like to suggest that each rental property have a binder containing information pertinent to that property.
