Kick back on the porch in the gated community of Long Island. This 1BR Port Isabel house (sleeps 4) has access to indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts and gym plus a boat dock. Tee-off on the community golf course or cast a line off the fishing pier.

INSIDE THE HOUSE

From a parking spot for up to 3 cars, head up the ramp (wheelchair accessible) to a long front deck. There, a BBQ grill, al fresco dining set and sun loungers set the scene for a laid back vacation.

A washer and dryer are concealed within an external closet around the side of the home.

Inside, an open concept living space includes a round dining table with 4 chairs to the left. There?s a sofa that pulls out to a full sleeper bed, recliner and armchair.

The 32? Spectre TV is mounted above the kitchen counter-top, so the chef can enjoy the show along with other guests. In the kitchen, white appliances, including an electric stove/oven and microwave, sit among-st ample counter-tops.

The bathroom features a shower/tub combo and a decorative mirror over the single vanity. It adjoins the bedroom, where a queen bed is complemented by botanic motifs on the wall.

There?s a 13? flat screen TV in here as well, perfect for those late night shows. Cable and wifi are included for guests.

OUR LOCATION

You?re right on the canal in the gated community of Long Island, meaning there?s a lot to do without heading far afield. Bring a boat and head out into the Port Isabel Channel.

If you?re keen on fishing, you?ll find plenty of fishing piers to choose from here. Try Pirate?s Fishing Pier, 1.5 miles away, and while you?re there you can sample the many eateries. Dirty Al?s specializes in Cajun and seafood, and Manuel?s can?t be beaten for Mexican food.

The Port Isabel Historic Lighthouse has a view that makes the climb worth it, and history buffs will enjoy the Port Isabel Historic Museum and Treasures of the Gulf Museum - all within 1.5 miles of the home.

Vacation to South Padra with my daughters

Stayed for 3 days in August, 2017
The overall experience was very disappointing. The rentals A/C did not work very well and the unit stayed at 83 degrees during the heat of the day. Also the unit smelled like mold and you could also see mold on the walls in the bathroom walls by the sink. We also experienced ants and cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen area. I did call the rental management to notify them of the bugs. She did come to the unit in a prompt manner and was very seeet and professional. She told us to use the bug spray available and if that didn't work she would call an exterminator. I didn't want the exterminator coming to our rental will we were there so we continued to use the bug spray. If I could get a credit or a refund for my stay there it would be appreciated but I'm sure that is not an option.

Stayed for 4 days in June, 2017
This was the first time i had had done a rental and boy am i glad we did. The benifets where well worth it.I am a tiny home person and this community was just that. Tiny homes and RVs. Very safe and clean. I went for walks at night and was comfortable by myself. Security is always around. The extras that come with this rental is awesome. The location is perfect.The community has lpts to do from the pool to miniature golf.Rentals is the way we are going from now on. I can still cook meals and snacks do laundry when needed and just the comfort of home.
