This is a very spaciuos home in the heart of Port Aransas. The ground floor of the home offers the first living area, a large bedroom, with a queen size bed, and a full bath. Up the stairs you will find the second living area, open kitchen and dining area, three bedrooms and 2 full baths. The first bedroom has 1 full bed and 1 queen bed, the second bedroom two sets of bunkbeds each with a full on the bottom and a twin on the top and the third bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the livingroom. This home is pet friendly and has a fenced yard along with a doggie door. Mixed Views A guest from Houston, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2012 We rented the Orange Seahorse for a short two day stay. I usually like to start with the good not the bad, and there was a lot to like about this property. It is relatively new and only a short drive to the beach (about 1/2 mile). There is no sea view because the dunes are between the house and the shore. The house was certainly adequate for our group of 8--but I think 16 would over stretch its capacity. The kitchen is generally well equipped,except some pots had missing lids. This is a small complaint for a house that has a mixer, blender and every conceivable kitchen utensil. There are games, books, a large TV and other stuff appropriate for a beach house. Plus a grill on the back porch.Unfortunately, the property was not ready when we arrrived (cleaning crew said that there had been a big party there the night before). When we were allowed in, the floors were so wet that they were slippery. There are burrs in the shag carpet. Several trash bags were outside the can, posibly from the big party. However, we were allowed by the rental company to stay an additional hour, waiving the $50 hour fee for extended stay (and they even offered two). because of the inconvenience. I generally found the rental company to be helpful.If you are interested in fishing or spending a family-time at the beach, this is an appropriate property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2012 At first I would have preferred a house closer to the beach, then I saw the crazy sorority boys from Corpis Christi parting on the beach and was glad I wasn't closer. I do wish the access both road and to the beach were better. Ice machine on Fridge was broken. Other then that, great house perfect for our needs. We had 8 guys, everyone had a bed. The cost was 75 bucks a person per night which is better then all the hotels nearby. I would rent it again without a doubt. Nice place in a housing developm about one mile walk to the sea. A guest from New Iberia, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in January, 2012 the owners did us a very nice turn by allowing up to keep 3 dogs. the home is very lovely , modern and clean.Unfortunately we had quite a maintenance problems but they were solved in a reasonable manner.The back yard was full of burrs.All in all if you want to bring your pets this property is a good bet for pet friendly service.the back fence is not adequate to keep in small dogs that are adventurous(digging in the soft sand is just too tempting) but it is fine for medium and large dogs. Very roomy/nice home A guest from Wimberley, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2011 Eight of us stayed for the Thanksgiving holiday at this house. It is very roomy, with nice large bedrooms, bathrooms and a big kitchen/living area. Beds are very comfortable and we all slept well. Kitchen was easy to prepare Thanksgiving dinner in. Minor issues-we had a small dachsund with us, the yard is full of stickers and had recently been mowed, but no cleanup was done. Stickers/cut grass was all over the driveway/sidewalks and had previously been tracked into house/carpeting by prior occupants! There are only two TV's in the home and they are located at the top and bottom of the stairs, which can make it difficult to watch two different stations, as the sound comes right down the stairs. Some of our group had issues with no ESPN on the DISH Tv package, as it was the last A&M/UT game. Even though there is no direct beach access, we would probably stay here again!
