The is truly an island home. Built on stilts, you enter this home by walking up one flight of stairs. The front door opens into a spacious livingroom, dining and kitchen area. The table seats 6 and is perfect for the whole family. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a private bath. The second bedroom two twin beds and the third bedroom a trundle bed, which makes into two twin beds. These two bedrooms share a full bath. There is also a queen size pull out sofa in the livingroom. The house is pet friendly and has wireless internet. Smoking is permitted outside only. The backyard has a nice deck and a large hottub. The garage is huge and will store a large bay boat. TWO MONTHS OF GREAT TIME AT TROPICAL TOUCHDOWN A guest from Tiffin, IA recommends this property. Stayed for 66 days in January, 2012 We love the location and all the stairs ( my legs thank you) it was great to sit on the deck and watch everything going on from the work on 11th st to the construction going on accross the street and in village walk. No matter how cool it was, sitting on the deck in the sun was perfect. So were the sunsets. This is our second winter in Port A and 1st at tropical touchdown, and we will be back next year. The house was great, just needed some floor scrubbing and vaccuming done and then it was home. A recliner would be nice instead of rocker chair. We loved the huuuuge garage for all my husbands fishing gear. The beach is only a couple of blocks away and we enjoyed many walks and shell searching. Very relaxing time, we would recommend Tropical Touchdown to anyone, it is a very comfortable house, and location perfect for us.Thank you for a wonderful winter in our home away from home from the Iowans.See you next year. Needs new furniture - and a walkway to the hot tub that is more private. Ian R. from Austin, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2011 Was VERY disappointed with the quality/condition of the furniture in the home - looked OLD and didn't want to sit on the sofa/loveseat or the chair. For the price of rental, can definitely afford to get new furniture. Also, did not like having to walk practically on a busy road to get to the hot tub - there is NO pathway that is even remotely private - every car driving by sees you and family walking to and sitting in the hot tub - NOT a relaxing way to end the day. There was a set of grandparents, a set of parents and two young children. The home was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. I am sure we will look to Port A escapes for another rental in the near future. By the way, the staff was very helpful, patient and accomodating. My opinion A guest from Katy, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2010 Kitchen chairs need replacing. Attempted to set in one chair and two wheels came off. Could have caused injury.BBQ grill in very rough condition. Hinge on one door rusted through. Hot tub water murky and should be replaced.House was very clean with plenty of linens. Bathrooms were spotless. Kitchen facilities were very good. Appliances in good condition.I would recommend ONLY after chairs fixed or replaced, BBQ grill and hot tub water replaced.
