There was a loud party on Sat. night that had we known about we would have stayed off the property until it was over. The condition of the facility has been in great need of a remodel for many years. Some of the units have completed beautiful renovations, but many have not. Disappointed with Property Mgmt Company A guest from Aransas Pass, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2011 Upon arrival we had difficulty checking in at the property because they had no record of our stay. We stood in the lobby for almost 30 mins waiting for them to contact the property mgmt company. When we finally went to our room, several light bulbs were either missing or burnt out and the light bulb assembly for a lamp in the living room was hanging by the wires. We called the property mgmt company and was told they would be right over to replace them, but they never came. We had ants in the second bedroom and had to buy antspray ourselves since we were unable to contact the property mgmt company. For a 3-night Columbus Day weekend stay, what I paid for 3 nights was equivalent to what others at Port Royal paid for 2 nights. The price is right. The unit is clean but outdated. Didn't bother me because I like things retro. Cleaning service forgot to clean out frig so when I arrived there was a plate of shriveled sliced veggies and old milk. Overall, I would rent it again for the great price. Port Royal has MANY outdated units, but you pay for the awesome pool when you go to this resort. won't be back A guest from Austin, Texas does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 For $350/night (actually $400/night with fees/taxes), this was a great disappointment. We were splurging to pay this much for a long weekend at Port A, but I thought it would be worth it to be right on the beach and with the great pool. I also expected the condo to be in very good shape considering the cost. When we arrived, the laundry room was packed with dirty laundry on the floor and both washer and dryer full. No linens in the bathrooms. A/C barely working. The rest of the condo was OK. I After calling the front desk and Port A escapes, I did get a good response. They fixed the A/C by the evening, but blamed each other for the dryer not working properly. The dryer took 2 or 3 complete cycles to get the linen load dry. I spent the weekend getting all 4 loads of linen laundry washed and dried, before I could do any of our own. The next morning, I found out the range and oven did not work. Again, the front desk and Port A Escape did respond quickly and the oven/range was replaced by late morning. After this call, they did comp me one night stay, which was appreciated and definitely warranted. We will not be returning. Even without the issues we had, I wouldn't pay this price again for the aged condo we were in. Really, this is more expensive than the brand new, beautiful condo we rented at the best location in Cabo San Lucas!
