The one and onlything was the TV in the second bedroom didn't work and the remotes to it didn't have batteries. It wasn't a big deal just thought Iwould mention it so it could be fixed. A little dirty but delightful! A guest from Euless, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2011 This town home was just as pictured, spacious and well-appointed. The pool was clean and the landscaping was lush. The back patio was quaint and perfect for enjoying the gulf breeze in the evening. The grill was convenient and the washer/dryer was a huge plus! The location was perfect, in town and close to beach access yet quiet and off the beaten path. The staff at Port Escapes was very professional and easy to work with. Crab-N in Aransas Pass is delicious dining and the beach at the National Seashore on Padre Island is the best beach in the area. Our family had a splendid vacation and will definitely come back to Port A. I do have two complaints: there was no Wifi in this unit and it was not as clean as I like (especially with a 17-month old in tow). Thirty minutes after our arrival and walking barefoot on the floor, our feet were black. Closer inspection of the floor revealed that it had not been mopped nor swept around the furniture. The doors were pretty grimy and could use a good wipe down. The rug in the living room is filthy and in dire need of a shampoo and the shower curtain liner in the hall bathroom should really be replaced (it was stained/moldy at the bottom.) I admit I am a ?neat freak? but feel this unit was cleaned just enough for appearances. The linens were fresh and we had plenty of clean towels. Perhaps the cleaning crew was in a rush before our arrival, but I expected more. Overall, we were pretty happy, but we did not drive 400 miles to have to mop our own town home. C?est la vie! Stayed for 4 days in July, 2011 Most hotels/condos that we have stayed in the past supply their guests with toilet paper and paper towels. This unit lacked both. Additionally, the dishwasher was not working, the light bulbs in the garage, and the front and back porch were out. There was still food on the utensils located in the kitchen drawer. And mold in the masterbath shower. The linens in the guest bedroom smelled like sun tan lotion, and had to be washed before the bed could be slept in. I feel bad for the owners of the unit because their Property Management Group is not doing a job they are paid to do. The condo was the perfect size for our family and it was just a short drive to the beach. A couple of problems we had were 1. the pool was GREEN when we got there, which was disappointing to the kids 2. the tenants next door could change the channel on the tv in the guest room with their remote which could be annoying. It had everything we need to prepare meals, enough and very clean linens and towels, but there were 3 few things I want to point out: the back door was very difficult to open; mattresses on both beds were extremely soft which caused us low back pain and the two TVs in the bedrooms never worked. If management could fix these issues, it would be the best place to stay in Port Aransas.
