Sunrise Village Rental A guest from Toronto, Ont does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2012 We wanted to try Sunrise this time in order to have the ski in/ ski out feature. Being able to ski in and out did turn out to be quite convenient. However the condo itself was a disappointment as it was, for the most part, very outdated. Also, there was only one TV(in the livingroom)and not an additional one in the bedroom as most condos do have. And the stove burners only worked on one setting--high--which made cooking difficult. The bed could have been a little less soft and the pillows a little less firm, but that's only my preference. We ate in most days and the kitchen was totally stocked with clean (and fairly new) pots and pans as well as dishes. Views were lovely from the living room & dining room, the whole condo was quiet and friendly. We liked it so much, we are coming back in 2 weeks! The only reason we rated property cleanliness as a 4 was because the inside of the microwave had the remnants of someone's chinese food all over the inside of the walls; other than that, the condo was very clean (and I am a fuss budget when it comes to sharing someone else's surroundings!). This was no doubt an oversight due to the fact that we arrived right after a peak period (Presidents' week)and the housekeeping staff must have been extremely busy! The staff at Wise vacation rentals is personable and helpful and their reservation process is so convenient online! Rental Interruption Anna P. from White Plains, New York does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2009 Our rental was fine with the exception of an interruption on 12/29 by a female realtor bringing a maleclient to walk through our unit while we were renting. We do not remember the name of the realty agencybut the fact remains that it happened and it was an interruption. My sister, who had a migraine headache was restingwhen this occurred but was gracious to allow them to come in. I find this intrusive !! Plus if she had not been home, we had left jewelry and money out and that is very much a concern.In all fairness for the amount of money that we were charged for the rental, this should not have happened.Plus i we chose to pay more for a ski in/out location and the lift was not opened. i understand that is not within their control but still very disappointing.I truly feel that Wise Vacations should have protected us from this interruption. you can not list a condo for rental and then also list as a purchase. I have asked that Wisevacation rental company make some type of monetary adjustment for this inconvenience. and yet their response was they were not responsible....that is very poor guest customer relationship....very disappointed in the stance that sally, the manager took in not attempting to compromise!!!! or even see our point of view....... Stayed for 2 days in December, 2009 The place was exteremly old, you could smell it, I was told all those bulidings were recently renovated, it was a lie, our friend stayed at the cambridge, beautiful, clean and brand new but our was awful, my kids refused staying in our place , BTW, we paid same amount per person for the place, i can not belive anyone would do that, i am not giving my business to wise anymore and would not recommend you, sorry, you did not work good enough to earn my business. and we are goig skiing again, in 2 weeks, in Killington , 4 families all with 2 kids, we'll get our place thru other companies... DFB FL A guest from Deerfleet Beach, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2009 I felt like I walked into the 1970's, it was dark and outdated. I specifically requested a modern and up to date rental and was surprised when I walked in. The TV was old school w/ a tiny picture, poor reception, limited channels and a non working DVD player. The fireplace enclosure was another challenge to open and close. The glass door and mesh screen were not sliding on a smooth track so as to keep the embers from popping out on to the carpeting. A little bit of kindling would have helped so as to start those big logs that I had to get from the parking lot. Would have been nice if the log rack in the condo already had a dozen or so logs in it from the start. The shower head spit and sprayed everywhere but on the intended target. I felt like I was sleeping on a box spring in my grandma's bedroom with the decor of the 70's. The unit guest next door put their trash outside their door which was outside my door too and animals attacked it overnight spreading garbage on the walkway which sat there for three days till I left. The washer and dryer were nice. The kitchen was very functional. Ski in ski out with the chairlift right there was great! Location is Key!!! A guest from Islip, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2008 This place is awesome, me and my husband adore it, and will be coming back every year. If you're all about the skiing and boarding, this place is perfect because the lift is right outside your door. THis lift is free, so if you are a beginner, you do not even need a lift ticket! There are two trails that come off this lift that take you back to it, and they are a descent length. If you are not a beginner, it's still perfect because the lift give you access to other trails that take you to the main mountain! Of course, you can ski to the first part which takes you to Bear mountain, where you can buy your lift ticket there, to continue your day on the mountain. Final overview, the decorations may need an update, but really it's all about location, location, location!
