This beautiful farm offers pasture land and clean comfortable stalls for your favorite equine for close to nothing. Lodging for horses includes hay, grain and unlimited grazing. Feel the need to stay nearby? No problem. Check out the beautiful renovated onsite apartment. Comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children, the apartment offers satellite TV and all of the outdoor space you can imagine. Winter guests should plan on arriving in a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Don't forget your cross country skies and is plenty of room here to play! Feel like a little luxury camping? Horse Camp also offers three campsites for trailers, campers or tents with water, electric and septic hook ups. Horses can enjoy three nights of luxury for only $50. A Snowy Stay at Horse Camp Brian T. from Oakton, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2013 We arrived at 11pm on a Friday night to a nice and warm apartment with the woodstove stocked with wood and ready to lite. Within 15 minutes we had a roaring fire and sat down to watch TV with Direct TV service. The internet worked flawless and had a great night?s sleep in the queen bed in the loft. The pantry had microwave popcorn; the fridge had fresh range eggs along with all the condiments you'd have at home. It snowed the entire time we stayed and the wind howled, but the woodstove kept the apartment nice and warm with lots of firewood stored inside the barn just steps away. We could have used the electric baseboard heat, but the woodstove was our preference. We enjoyed the gentle sounds of the Guinea Hens bumping around to stay warm in the barn just thru the wall and they even greeted us by peeking in the first floor windows one of the warmer mornings. The horses were fun to watch out in the pastures. While walking thru the snow in the pasture, the white one came up and was very affectionate. It was the perfect getaway for us as a couple. We brought our dog and she was able to run around the property. Needless to say, she had an awesome time!! The property is beautiful. The apartment is perfect for a couple. There are two bedrooms so there is also room for more people if needed. It was great to use the hot tub while it was chilly out. There's a woodburner stove to keep you warm.I am able to use wifi to make cell phone calls but if not, you won't get service.Great property and highly recommended. We rented this house as our home base to explore local attractions, such as Seneca Rocks, Dolly Sods, Blackwater Falls, zip lining, etc. House was secluded, charming, well stocked, and cozy. What a Delightful Escape!! A guest from Reston, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2012 Horse Camp was wonderful ... exactly what we needed, more than we expected. The pictures simply do not do it justice. It was incredibly clean, well stocked (even with food, fresh eggs from the farm, a medicine cabinet full of NEW necessities, etc.), incredibly charming and very peaceful. It was worth it for the views alone - from the sweeping fields and hills to the horses that practically come to the door ... it really was lovely. And the property management company was extremely helpful leading up to and throughout our visit, making it as effortless as possible. Oddly the worst part of our time there was also the best. My elderly dog became very sick on the second day of our stay. Both the owners and the management company went out of their way to help us find a vet to get care for my boy ASAP. For that I will be forever grateful. We hope to return to Horse Camp soon under better circumstances and to completely enjoy all that it has to offer. Relaxing Stay at Horse Camp! A guest from Napa, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2012 The apartment at Horse Camp was even nicer than we were expecting from the pictures. The peace and nature were a much needed respite from city life. We enjoyed the hot tub and watching the horses from the porch while eating breakfast. Just an FYI, there are indeed 2 separate bedrooms. The one shown in the pictures that is upstairs and one that is off of the downstairs living room & pantry. This second bedroom has a bed big enough for 2 and doesn't have any windows.Highly recommended! The owners, who live on a property across the street and out of sight, make great efforts to ensure that every need is covered. Their son even brought us firewood for the fire pit outside and started it for us! The resident horses are sweet and friendly, as are the pair of guinea hens that occasionally roost on the front porch and peer into the living room windows.
