We were visited by A female bear with cubs on two of the three nights we stayed there. There was no place to store the outdoor trash which would keep it away from the bears. I'm sure the owner will come up with a solution. The bears made quite a mess but did provide us with some excitment in the middle of the night. We hope to stay at this house again. The first few dishes we tried to use were dirty and sticky. Ditto the glassware. Much of the silverware was dirty or food-encrusted. So, one of the first things I did was wash dishes (including all the silverware and the silverware tray). The house was pretty dusty with cobwebs here and there--it appeared it hadn't been occupied in a while. Otherwise, everything was clean, well maintained (except the fireplace didn't work), well-equiped and comfortable (well, except for that futon).
