Spring Vacation 12 Sue N. from Knightstown, IN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2012 We have stayed in cabin 59 once before for our 23rd anniversary . And paid for a family member to stay for their anniversary a few years later. We also stayed in 2 other cabins through your company. The other times were great no problems or complaints. This time the cabin was run down the hot tub did not function properly for heat or the jet ability. Also the handles and places on the hot tub have mold and mildrew on them. And the noises coming from the hot tub interfered with our sleep. There were stains on the comforter that we did not find until the next morning. And the sheets or bed stank like mildew. When my husband got into the shower there were black hairs on the wall and floor of the shower. I guess to cover the odors the owners use plug in type of air fresheners these are oil based so the scent is in the carpet , towels, curtains etc. I have food allegies which cause me to be very sensitive to smells so the whole time we were in the cabin I was sick to my stomach. When I called to leave a msg the phone was on a loop so I had to wait until the office opened. When I spoke to the lady she was nice and informed me that she would have to speak to her manager. She called back within a half hour and told me that I could check out and have the second night refunded (we were only staying 2 nights) they could move me to another cabin but it would be owned by the same people and the place would still smell. Or I could tough it out and they would refund 25 dollar cleaning deposit. We did not want to spend the time moving since we only had the one day to spend there, so we stayed put. This was like staying in a 39.99 hotel room on the interstate not what we expected or paid for. To say the least we were very disappointed. I specifically asked what all of the fees would be up front. So I was EXTREMELY displeased with that situation. Other than that, the cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay very much!!!! Hello Friends,We had an absolutely delightful and peaceful time when we last visited John M. from Dickson, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2007 The chalet was private, charming, and cozy. We enjoyed the lovely views, super shopping in the artist's village, and just cooking "at home". We also visited several of the nearby restaurants, with The Alamo, being one of our favorite nearby hangouts. We were happy to meet the owner of the chalet when he called and stopped by to greet us.
