Property is very nice just hated is was so far from Pigeon Forge. The was hard to make the turn in the driveway and had several steps to go up to the property. The inside was very nice just need some to replace several light bulbs that are out including the microwave as this is the only lighting for the stove area. The refrigerator also had a ice / freeze problem in the refrigerator area. None of these problems were a big deal just need to be fixed. We had a great time, the weather was nice and we both enjoyed the hot tub out on the deck. We would stay he again when we get to come back to the area. The only thing I was really disappointed in was the view. The website makes it look as if you are surrounded by forest, when in fact you are next to a road. This, however, was a minor problem. Foot Loose is close to both the National Park and all the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge tourist traps, so you can find something everyone likes on your stay there! The fireplace was charming and my sons enjoyed it. I would recommend this property to a friend if it was only 2 or 3 of them. There's not enough bedding for 4.When I reserved the cabin in August the website stated that the cabin slept 6 and that it had a sofa sleeper, a futon and a king sized bed. When we arrived there was no sofa sleeper, only a futon that wasn't quite as big as a full sized bed. It was late when we realized this and we tried to open the futon but couldn't. My youngest son had to sleep with us and my oldest son slept on the futon in the up position. Luckily we brought 2 of our own pillows because the 3 pillows in the downstairs closet did not have pillow cases and they were wet from a leak in the ceiling. Which leads me to the fact that we could not use the bedroom closet for our clothes so we had them drapped everywhere. the master bedroom looked like a walkin closet by the end of the week. I did call the very next day to find out how to resolve the lack of beds, and an air matress was delivered, along with a set of linens, plus the maintenance person was able to open the futon. Another thing is that 4 of us were staying for 7 nights and we were only given 6 towels, 6 wash cloths, 2 hand towels and 1 set of dish cloths. I think we could have had at least 8 towels so that i wouldn't have had to wash so often. I did not see the point of driving all the way back to Pigeon Forge for towels. There's also a leak under the kitchen sink and some type of rodents living in the walls. i got up one night and knocked on the walls to run whatever was there, off. But really the bed situatin bothered us most. I was going to bring my Mom but then she changed her mind, so i almost brought my son's friend but he tore a ligament in his ankle 2 days b4 we left, so he couldn't come. Thank God! Really like staying outdoors as you could see it through the walls. Not worth your money, It is a very used rental that has not been kept up. Be sure to take your own dishes, glasses and silverware, as there is sure not much there. We asked about the drive before booking and was told that it was not bad. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2008 we enjoyed the Foot Loose cabin, it was spotless and had everything we ned for the three day stay. Did not like: Terrible driveway. Very poor water pressure. A pool table that could not be used as the walls prevented the que from being used (are just to small). However, we would stay there again, if the water pressure issue was fixed. It needs a good cleaning and removal of many spider webs. The water pressure was terrible and there are spots in which you can see sunlight coming in from the outside on the exterior walls. There are only a few utensils in the not so gourmet kitchen and the pool table is unusable. It is shoved in a corner in the loft making it impossible to be utilized. There is no charcoal grill on the deck it is located down by the parking and is like one you would find while camping in a state park. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2008 We enjoyed our recent stay in a cabin conveniently located minutes from downtown Gatlinburgh. We were happy with the convenience yet secluded feeling of the cabin. The staff was very helpful through the process of making reservations, checking in, and directing us to our cabin location. We felt that for the price, this cabin was missing a few of the nice touches we've experienced in the past (ie. potted flowers, dvd library, reading material, games for the kids). We were also surprised that there were a number of details overlooked- several light bulbs that needed to be changed, a clock that didn't work, air conditioning that never got as cool as we would have liked, and a number of cobwebs. Our biggest complaint is the fact that we received many solicitation phone calls during our stay. The phone rang 4-5 times each evening when we were trying to relax. I was disappointed that the staff did not seem to care when I mentioned this annoyance at check-out. Having said that, we enjoyed our time in this cabin, found it to be exactly as indicated on the web site. Our two young sons also enjoyed the setting very much. Terrible Property Management Sylvia R. from Hialeah Gardens, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in December, 2007 After having rented various cabins in other states, this one was the only one we did not like at all. It was not taken care of by the property Mgr. It had at least 3in of dust throughout, the bathroom upstairs overflowed into the downstairs closet and there was no water pressure upstairs either. The windows did not close properly,the lighting was very bad and,light bulbs were missing including the one over the stove. There was no additional bedding. We had to drive with the dirty sheets to the office (apprx.6 miles) to get new sheets and did not realize until we arrived back to the cabin that we had been given the wrong size sheets. There were 3 televisions and 2 remote controls. Neither of the remotes, including the DVD remote, had the back plates to keep the batteries inside. So, we were constantly having to pick up batteries from the floor. Also, we had to share the 1 remote downstairs between 2 TV's. I could go on but what for? I reported this to you already. So, I guess they fixed everything, but I will never know because I will never use American Mountain Rentals again.
