Stayed for 2 days in February, 2010 The 3 levels with a living area on each level were perfect for our grown children and their kids. Everybody had somewhere to go to so there was no cabin fever. Lovely view and short drive to snow play when we werent' throwing snowballs in the yard. Nice big eating area with 2 tables was great for meals and board games. Only downside was fireplace smoked like there was no chimney and drove everyone downstairs or outside. Then embers fell back into living room from where chimney went thru roof. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2008 Wonderfully cosy house for our family - with the self contained guest quarters downstairs the boys' grandmother could have her own privacy too. The view was amazing and the peaceful surrounds were so enjoyable we booked an extra night. The house's proximity to the township of Arnold (for shopping and eating out) and White Pines Lake (for fishing and swimming) and Alpine Lake (for boating and fishing) was perfect. Even though the weather was in the 80s we still managed to toast s'mores on the gorgeous open fire. We all had a great time, and look forward to coming back in the winter! Upstairs became the kid zone. They were very happy to have their own TV and couch. The set up was perfect for our family, one large table for dining and another smaller table for crafts and games. Grandma stayed downstairs and could get away from the motion of the children to just relax. We took a trip to Big Trees, which in the Winter is packed with families sledding and playing in the snow.
