Management A guest from Dublin, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2011 I stayed at many resorts in North Lake Tahoe area. Lake Tahoe is a beautiful place for anybody to visit. How disappointing it was to find out that there is one place management of which does not seem to embrace basic rules in business of hospitality. The morning after I arrived - I simply wanted to have a shower. Hot water run out in less than 5 minutes. For a house for 4 - this is rather a joke. I complained to manager with request to obtain partial refund for a night that had not enough hot water and refund for the second night which I chose not to spent at the establishment anymore. The manager laughed me out, and replaced the headset. I will return to Lake Tahoe many times, and will steer well clear of that place. Property Manager Response: Response from First Accommodations This customer is not being honest about the situation. They used all of the hot water from the water heater (55 gallons) in this private condo. We had the water temperature tested immediately after we received the complaint about the lack of hot water and again the next day. There was a continuous amount of hot water during both tests that lasted for more than 20 minutes each time. They were never mistreated and they were attempting to stay for free. In 1982, some friends started to come with us and have only missed a few years since. We were all together again this summer and had a wonderful time. The only problem we had was that some of the knives in our unit were dirty, and needed to be replaced. i was chopping veggies with a BREAD KNIFE. It was not fun! The units are old and the interiors of some could use some updating, but I know that is up to the owners. We had a blast though, and are planning to come next summer. It was a beautiful and convenient location for exploring Tahoe. Tahoe 2009 trip Yvonne D. from West Jefferson, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2009 We had a wonderful time! Our 13 year and us skiied 5 different places while in Tahoe. The location was just perfect for skiing on along the North shore area. After some long days on the slopes we did make time to build a snowman outside the front door. It will greet the next visitors :-). We realized after our son's first cold shower, that the water heater may not have been turned on at the circut breaker. That was indeed the case and my husband engaged that breaker in the hall closet. Upon leaving, we thought it best to leave it as we found it as to not use up valuable energy while nobody was occupying the condo. Hopefully that was o.k. We really enjoyed our week long getaway and appreciate all you did to make this trip possible!! Carnelian Bay was a fabulous place to relax. The recreation facilities were wonderful. Location was great. Property managers John S. from Castiac, CA does not recommend this property. It was very hot while we were there and we were very pleased with the response of 1st Accomodations in replacing screens on windows. There were some holes in the window screens, which may have allowed some flying creatures to enter, but all damaged screens were replaced. We couldnt have been happier. The location was ideal and teh condo was well stocked. It was alittle small for a family of 5 but we managed a comfortable stay.
