Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 The trundle bed wasn't there and the air downstairs wasn't working good, but the management took care of that so we were fine. The biggest problem was the dock. We had a 21ft boat and 4 jet skis and the dock is in poor condition. The cleats kept pulling off bacause of the wake from passing boats and we were constantly having to nail them back down. Also, the boards are sticking up and on top there are rusty nails sticking out. The swing has two rusting nails sticking out and some kind of nests under it ( I was stung). In the house there were a few signs of wear but overall it was good. Didn't use the hot tub. Really enjoyed feeding the ducks, they ate right out of our hands. Again, our biggest complaint was the dock, it really needs a LOT of work.Overall it was good, we'd go again. The only drawback we noted was that we didn't realize internet was not available, but then that really isn't a huge deal when the house and lakeside location were so nice. We did notice some minor maintenance issues that need attention like outlet covers missing, light switches that my electrician husband couldn't figure what they controlled, splits in a wall in livingroom, but nothing major, just minor cosmetic stuff. Mislead and Disappointed Christopher H. from jefferson, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2011 We were very disappointed with the accomadations at this lake house. It smelled VERY damp and musty the entire time. It rained in the family room the first night in front of the fireplace. The wallpaper was coming off the walls all over the cabin due to the moisture issues in the cabin.The downstairs was unbearable to stay in. We did not stay down there due to the SMELL and MOISTURE we had to make other arrangements and the dampness irritated myself and one of my sons respiratory system causing our allergies to flare up! So we stiffled and coughed and sneezed the entire shortened stay.The kitchen was not nearly fully equipted to cook in. It was missing a cookie sheet, can opener and a strainer for noodles to mention a few things needed in a standard kitchen. The gas grill was disgusting! We brought food to grill but we were scared to cook on that grill. The electricial outlets and state of condition was very UNSAFE. Exposed outlets with children is very unsafe!! And the cords would become hot when things were plugged in such as coffee pot. It is a fire hazard waiting to happen if not addressed. Another safety issue is the dock area and so called ladder and slide for the kids. The ladder was rusted and falling apart and the slide had exposed screws on top with a 'Bandaid' across one of the exposed screws. So my children could not enjoy swimming in the lake! Also, MANY exposed and sticking up rusty nails on the dock! My husband and I were very DISAPPOINTED with the entire place so we packed up and left a day early because we could not bear the smell and safety concerns any longer. We spent alot of money and took time off work to have a family vacation that was ruined by your lack of LUXURY accomadations. There were issues with the hot tub not working for two of our four day stay, the maintenance man replaced electrical breakers fo Michael M. from Louisville, KY does not recommend this property. We were informed not to use the wood stove in the lowere level because of some issues with the flu. Needs Help A guest from Flowery Branch, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2010 Upon arriving we viewed the garbage from previous renter---all cans were full to overflowing--had to put our bags on top of it when we left---so possible wildlife was evident. The upstairs was very hot--tried to ac to work---called maintenance and was informed that it would take a couple of hours for it to cool upstairs---maintenane also stated that had he known it was going to be rented he would have had it turned down---needless to say it never did cool that evening--therefore had to call for maintenance. He got it working with no problems the rest of the stay. The hot tub was a continual problem as they came out twice to keep it going. The ladder at the dock was broken and we were unable to use it---a big disappointment for our grandchildren.
