Stonegate 301 and 306 review A guest from Vancouver, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2010 We enjoyed our stay at Stonegate last week but were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the unit. Our unit had leftover food in the kitchen, the dishwasher was full, there was dust everywhere and a general feeling of uncleanliness. Our friends across the hall in 306 felt the same way. Their suite was not ready when we arrived and a rush job was done to get it prepared. They did not receive new towels for 2 days and had to call to tell the front office of the lack of clean towels. A bra (not belonging to them) was found under the bed in the spare room, the blinds were incredibly dusty and look like they hadnt been cleaned in ages. When we arrived, the oven in suite 306 had just been put on to be cleaned. For the next 2 hours we had to put up with extreme heat and noise while the oven cleaned. Since check out is at 10am, I am very surprised that this would happen. I think that Stonegate has the potential to be a fabulous resort and I understand that there are kinks that need to be worked out in new resorts. I really appreciate your questionaire and hope that the problems we encountered will be sorted by the next time we come to Big White. The main thing that needs to be addressed training the cleaning staff to understand that the clients who come to Stonegate have a high expectation of cleanliness. When I spoke to any of them, they seemed to lack an understanding of high level client service. One day I asked for some laundry soap and was told that I could 'maybe have some'. None was delivered. These are supplies that one would expect to be included with the price paid for the accommodation.
