LOCATION:
Torre del Guado is placed at the same distance (3 kms) from the medieval towns of Anghiari and Sansepolcro situated in Upper Tiber Valley, and 30 kms from Arezzo, not far from Cortona and Siena, on the edge of the Chianti wine region and of Umbria. The villa convenient location will allow you to easily reach the main art cities including Assisi and Urbino, Perugia and Pisa, Trasimeno Lake, Florence, Rome, ..). They are all a day-trip away and easily accessible through the near E45 speedway, at only 4 kms from the villa, and A1 highway 32 kms far.

THE AREA:
This area has a great culinary tradition: everywhere you can enjoy the wonderful dishes of Tuscan cuisine, accompanied by the fine wines. There are a number of music festivals in the region, including Umbria Jazz in Perugia and Tuscan Sun Festival of Cortona in July. The sport and nature lovers may take excursions on foot, on horseback or on mountain bike and wander through woods and vineyards, ruins of old churches, castles and lovely old farm buildings. Golf Club, tennis-courts and horse-riding are at short driving distance. Lakes Trasimeno and Montedoglio provide water-sports, trips to islands & a small beach. For art lovers, in this area there are Signorelli, Perugino, Pinturicchio frescos in addition to the 'Piero della Francesca trail' around Arezzo, Sansepolcro & Monterchi.

Fly direct to Perugia (our nearest airport : 45 minutes drive) via Ryanair, or to Bologna-Forli ( about 100 kms), or to Florence Peretola ( 85 kms) , or to Ancona (2 hours' drive), or to Bologna, Pisa or Rome, Pisa Galileo Galilei 80 km.

By Car:
from Milan-Bologna: A14 Highway to Cesena: exit Cesena nord, Follow E45 Superhighway to Rome-Perugia- exit Sansepolcro sud.
from Rome-Orte: E45 Superhighway Perugia-Cesena: exit Sansepolcro sud.
from Florence: A1 Highway - exit Arezzo with direction SANSEPOLCRO.
